I'm back ...

... after a long hiatus :)

Alhamdulillah...

... everything went well and I've delivered a healthy, perfect little boy, weight 3.38 kg, on 18th August at 8:37pm via normal delivery.

It was quite a swift delivery -- I was admitted at 430pm and the real contractions (the really sakit ones) only started at 730pm! But I must say, this time around I was more prepared and relaxed as compared to my first. Dah experienced la katakan ... I was even managed to bergelak ketawa in between contractions sedangkan masa first delivery dulu breathing technique pun lupa, panic punya pasal!

So to those who are about to deliver soon, just remember this magic word - RELAX! Don't think about the pain or how you are going to deliver the baby -- just focus one contraction at a time! Even better, tell your husband to get you a blackberry so you can ber-facebook, ber-YM, ber-email, ber-chatting etc in the delivery room while waiting for 'the moment' and believe me, those are really good distractions from the pain. Well at least it works for me; contractions dah 3 minutes apart pun masih boleh ber-blog :)

Insya Allah if everything is ok, Baby#2 and I will be discharged from the hospital tonight. I cannot wait to go home as I miss Baby#1 terribly but I am also quite nervous about starting the whole life-with-a-newborn cycle again. I am especially nervous about how Baby#1 is going to react when we bring Baby#2 home tonight. Yes, he has met Baby#2 several times at the hospital but I don't think he understood the fact that he is going to have to co-exist with this little stranger! We shall wait and see ... Insya Allah OtherHalf and I will do our best to help him adjust to being a big brother to Baby#2.
