My husband turned 1 year older just few days ago and believe it or not, we didn't celebrate (big) at all. Yeap, you read that right -- no celebration, no birthday dinner and worst, no birthday present! Initially I wanted to take him out for a nice dinner but we had committed to a party on his birthday eve much earlier and then there's my son's birthday party on his birth day itself so jadinya he terpaksa tumpang our son's birthday party and tiup lilin together. Jadi lah kan ..
And as for the birthday present, I seriously don't know what else to get him! I've literally given him everything under the sun and I am running out of ideas. His current obsession is this remote control car, Hpi Racing Baja 5B, but itu pun he dah beli every single thing he needed. And plus I have zero knowledge about the RC car so tak berani lah nak memandai2 beli spare part ke accessories ke, nanti tak ngam and he tak suka, membazir plak! So his birthday present is still pending .. my OtherHalf said he'll let me know if there's anything he wants but for his birthday he requested for a special birthday cake, so I made him this .. :)
As for the little birthday boy, I made him an airplane birthday cake as he is soooooo fond of airplanes! The cake was a hit (I think) as the only thing left after the party was the plane's tail!
My son's exact birth date is actually not until tomorrow but since it falls on a weekday and my in laws pun ada kat sini, we decided to celebrate earlier. As for his real birthday tomorrow, we are going to celebrate at school with his classmates. No birthday cakes though, just cupcakes and little favors for the kids. Cukup syarat lah and plus dia pun still oblivious to the birthday party. Believe it or not, there are still un-opened birthday presents lying around at home as he is happy with the ones he had opened earlier. He he he ...
