I want!

I was just looking at a friend's album on their recent diving trip in Australia and I was overwhelmed with jealousy! The pictures are all so nice and colorful and oh my god, so sharp! But don't ask lah what camera they are using as the husband is a professional underwater photographer so mestilah gambar2 semua cantik2 belaka. And naturally, the wife becomes the subject in almost all of the pictures alongside the fishies ... lucky her!

I've been wanting to get an underwater camera for the longest time; a simple one, just so I could take pictures whenever I go scuba and do that signature diver pose -- you know, the one where they do the 'OK' sign like in the picture below.

But knowing my OtherHalf, he is very particular when it comes to gadgets (atually,  he is very particular in everything) and always, always, always insists on the best. And not listening to his opinion in this department would mean endless comments on picture quality, how the camera is such a waste of money and bla bla bla. Boleh berdarah telinga ni dibuatnya but I know at the end of the day that he's (always) right. My OtherHalf is really good in this department that he is his friends and families' personal reference point before purchasing anything gadget-related be it TV, camera, PCs, laptop etc.

Anyway, I actually have my eye on the Sealife DC1000 (the one in the picture below) and I've read many positive reviews on this camera. I think for an amateur underwater photog like myself, this should suffice, don't you think? The only problem is I feel that it's kind of pricey for a camera that I don't use everyday so I'm hoping, since our Anniversary is around the corner, that my OtherHalf would buy it for me as our Anniversary present.

Are you reading this, my darling? Are you? Are you? 'Cos if you do, and if you get this camera, we could celebrate and capture this year's anniversary with the fishies :)

*fingers crossed*

For now, I'll just make peace with doing only the 'ascend' sign .. on the surface :(
